Description:

Monofilament Polyamide Suture, commonly known as Polyamide or Nylon Suture, is a nonabsorbable sterile synthetic surgical thread. Our Polyamide brand, composed of long-chain aliphatic polymers derived from 100% homo polymer of Nylon 6 and 6.6. To enhance visibility within tissue, Nylon sutures are often blue in color. The combination of infection resistance, minimal tissue reaction, and absence of tissue rupture makes Monofilament Polyamide Suture a valuable and reliable choice in various surgical applications.

Applications:

  • general soft tissue approximation
  • ophthalmic
  • plastic procedures
  • neurological surgeries
  • micro procedures

Properties:

  • Good Knot Security: This suture provides reliable knot security, ensuring the stability of closures during surgical procedures.
  • Excellent Tensile Strength: With outstanding tensile strength, Monofilament Polyamide Suture offers robust support, contributing to the integrity of surgical closures.
  • Non-Elastic Knotting for Skin Closures: The suture does not exhibit elasticity during knotting, making it an ideal choice for skin closures where maintaining tight and secure knots is crucial.
  • Smooth Passage Through Tissue: designed for a smooth passage through tissue, the suture minimizes trauma during application, promoting patient comfort and optimal wound healing.
